Current rota is based on 2:1 – 24/7 care, shifts will be predominantly waking nights with occasional daytime cover.

Successful applicants will facilitate home and community based rehabilitation and further education. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of therapists to aid him to achieve his optimum rehabilitation potential.

Experience essential. NVQ 2/3 in Health & Social Care desirable

Our client has an Acquired Brain Injury and requires 1:1 support to provide guidance, encouragement and supervision to maintain safety.

Whilst in school, support will be required in the classroom and the playground, helping to engage in education and play.

When at home the successful applicant will provide support to engage in activities, complete homework and access the community either with or without the family.

During school holidays support may be required in the home and community, although the hours will be less and some flexibility required.

I am a very happy 11-year-old little girl living with my family in the Hebden Bridge area. I have cerebral palsy and other needs including personal care requirements.

I am looking for 3 people to become part of my team of carers. You will need to be empathetic, conscientious and dedicated to meeting all of my needs to ensure that I have the best quality of life at all times. A sense of humour is also really important.

I enjoy music, sensory activities, hydrotherapy and outings. I have good days where I enjoy all you do with me and other days where I prefer to be quiet.

The job will be permanent and the shifts available to the right person would be from the following:

Before/After school

Weekends

School holidays

Sleeping nights

As you would be working as part of a team it would be helpful if you could cover some annual leave for the other members too.

Previous experience working with children would be advantageous but not essential as full training and supervision is provided.
