Brief description:  

Support worker required for a gentleman living independently in the Clitheroe area who has an Acquired Brian Injury.  The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the client with all daily living tasks including shopping and encouraging him to engage in the local community.  Verbal prompting required to manage his personal care. 

 

Applicants require skills to provide focus & motivation to expand social activities and must be enthusiastic and have a sense of humour.

 

The successful applicant will receive multi-disciplinary guidance, training and supervision.

 

Full UK driving license essential.  Experience preferred.

I am a very happy 11-year-old little girl living with my family in the Hebden Bridge area. I have cerebral palsy and other needs including personal care requirements.

I am looking for 3 people to become part of my team of carers. You will need to be empathetic, conscientious and dedicated to meeting all of my needs to ensure that I have the best quality of life at all times. A sense of humour is also really important.

I enjoy music, sensory activities, hydrotherapy and outings. I have good days where I enjoy all you do with me and other days where I prefer to be quiet.

The job will be permanent and the shifts available to the right person would be from the following:

Before/After school

Weekends

School holidays

Sleeping nights

 .

As you would be working as part of a team it would be helpful if you could cover some annual leave for the other members too.

Previous experience working with children would be advantageous but not essential as full training and supervision is provided.
